Idiot of the West - Chapter 6

[The next morning, Rodney, Thomas and Bessie woke up in an abandoned home in the middle of nowhere where a lady with a baby and holding a banjo tried to wake them up]

Rodney: Huh?

Phyllis: Morning folks!

Rodney: (wakes up screaming) Ahh!!! Who is you?

Phyllis: I’m Phyllis Frazier and this is my daughter, Carolyn. (Carolyn waves hello).

Rodney: Name’s Rodney and those are my friends, Tom and Bessie.

Phyllis: Nice to meet you folks but what’re ya’ll doing here?

Bessie: We got kicked out of town…

Thomas: Isaac and his men took over…

Phyllis: Wait… do you mean Isaac Killsworth? That side-winder kicked me out of town too just for playing my banjo! (plays the banjo in a catchy tune)

Rodney: Man… I reckon I oughta do something about this!

Bessie: (holding Carolyn) If we only have a flying machine…

Phyllis: A flying machine…? I reckon I know someone who might just have one.

Thomas: Who?

Phyllis: Well then I should tell you in song! (tries to play but the string got broke) oh nuts… anyway they call her Lady Carol, the greatest dog-fighting champion in the west.

Thomas: Where could we find her?

Phyllis: She lives beyond the desert but you have to beat her in a dog-fight if you want
to talk her.

Rodney: But we don’t have a flying machine.

Phyllis: Well I could give you one that had been scraped; would that work?

Rodney: Where is it?

[Phyllis shows Rodney and friends the plane that had fallen apart; the plane wing felled to the ground.]

Phyllis: I’m sorry but I reckon that’s all I could give you guys.

Rodney: We’ll take it! Come on guys, let’s get to work! Uh… how do you fix this again?

[After 3 days, the plane was at its former glory and they all went inside the plane]

Phyllis: I’m coming with you! I want payback with Isaac!

Rodney: Sure! Come on, let’s find Lady Carol! [Rodney and the others fly the plane to find Lady Carol]
