Berkowitz!

In the modern, yet technical city of Metro Hills, New York, 10-year-old child genius Edward Berkowitz was in the college named Metro Hills University working on his most important invention of his life, a chameleon cloaking device which not only turns anyone invisible but holds a barrier for instant protection. He then shows his work to his professor and sees his invention works. As everyone enjoy his work, Edward’s rival, Rodrick Johansen, wasn’t that impressed and told to step aside and show the professor his invention, a synthetic armor suit capable to survive any kind of weather condition, but then it goes haywire and starts wrecking the entire classroom and then the institute itself. Edward then tries to stop the suit by using its self-destruct button and his cloaking device and saved the school from being demolished. As the professor thanks Edward for saving everyone, Rodrick gets upset and plans for revenge for his invention being destroyed. Edward then returned home to Gordon City, Maryland and tell his older brother 12 year-old Stan and his parents that graduation is in a few days and they felt excited including Stan who is glad to see his little brother achieve something but feels depressed hoping he would achieve the one thing he can do: being a better older brother. Stan then sees Edward in his room and talks to him about not seeing him for a while since he was in college and worries that after his graduation, he might not be spending time with him anymore but Edward doubt that would ever happen. When Edward went to bed, Stan decides to talk to his parents betting that he and Edward would live on their own in a new city, but they felt concerned that they’re just kids and think they won’t survive but Stan was upset that he said that he can’t be a couch potato anymore and tries to be a better older brother by proving to his parents that he can take care of him on his own. Their parents have given Stan his one chance to prove that he can do his job better than anyone can. The next morning, Edward, Stan, and their parents had a talk and told Edward that before his graduation, he has to move with only Stan to Metro Hills so he could be a better older brother to him; Edward was surprised to hear all this and felt concerned that this was a bad idea. Their mom told Edward that Stan has to do what he has to do what’s best for him; Edward would regret this but decides to go through with. So Edward and Stan pack their stuff and before their dad drove them to Metro Hills, their mom said to Edward to be careful and to Stan to watch his back and don’t let him into dangerous problems along the way. Edward and Stan’s dad drove them to Downtown section of Metro Hills and found a townhouse there where they will live for a while. Stan thinks that he is ready but Edward still feels upset for agreeing to this and tries to encourage him to be a good older brother. A few hours later, their new home was ready, Edward even found a basement where his new lab is built and he and Stan went to a walk through the city. As they walk from their house, they found two friends named Rodney Henderson and Scott Ferguson who met with Edward and Stan and went on to have fun and show them around the city. They then show them the mayor’s office and went inside to talk to the mayor. Mayor Frederick Johansen, who turns out to be Rodrick’s dad, and Brandon, Rodrick’s little brother, greets them and tell them that this city could use two more people around here. Rodrick was walking through the hall and sees Edward and Stan talking to his dad and got feeling angry and tell them why they are in his dad’s office. Stan ask who Rodrick was and sees why he was Edward’s Rival. Edward told Stan and his new friends to let’s go and said bye to the mayor. Rodrick then spoke to his dad that they don’t belong here because they might mess with him again but his dad disagrees and say that they are great kids. Rodrick scoffs at his dad and storm off back to his room. He then plans his ultimate revenge on Edward in his secret lab beneath the underground of his house and builds the most indestructible robot he could ever create. A few hours later, Edward then saw a familiar face’s house and knocks on the door and sees his friend/crush Melody Nelson with her friends Elayne O'Reilly and Anamarie Kelekolio-Matsumoto. As the boys went inside Melody’s house, Edward talked to her and see what she had worked on while she went to the same college as Edward went to. Feeling nervous, Edward blushed as Melody grabbed his hand and show him her lab and felt surprised on how many experiments she had done. He then told Melody that graduation is in a few days and ask her to join him for the graduation party, but she told him that she’ll think about it and Edward sees that it is getting late and tells Stan to let’s go home. Stan told Edward everything that happened today and sees him blushed a little and knows that he got a girlfriend but Edward doubts that and they felt hungry and went to the Gagmon Café where they met with Horace Gagmon, who is their next door neighbor, and tried to had dinner but then a huge rumble came through the city and the people were panicking in fear. They saw it was Rodrick with his robot rampaging the city, so Edward went flying on his jetpack and try to stop his robot from destroying the city but then got hurt and slams to a building. Stan tries to open a hydrant to stop the machine from hurting Edward and then Edward uses his Hydro Sucker and fires it at Rodrick’s robot; Rodrick realizes that he forget to add waterproof shields and the robot collapses to the ground. The crowd cheers to Edward and Stan for saving their city and Rodrick sworn revenge yet again and went back to his lab for repairs. Edward and Stan returned home and Stan was disappointed on him for going alone but Edward thanks him for his help and couldn’t survive without him. Stan smiled as he and Edward went to bed. During that night, Rodrick went back to his lab modifying his robot and felt crossed finding Edward’s weak spot. The next morning, the boys went out to see Melody again only to spend time with Edward alone. Edward and Melody were at the Gagmon Café talking about Rodrick being the best soon-to-be scientist before Edward came in and already became popular than him then Edward realizes that he just wanted attention and leaves to work on a city defense invention if Rodrick would ever break down to the ground. Stan went inside the lab to see what Edward is doing but sees that it would not work; Edward tells Stan it will protect the city and believes him but worries that he might fail for once. The next day came as Edward reveals his invention to the city saying it will bring protection to the entire town but the citizens thought he would be crazy as Rodrick shows up and says that it won’t work and tries it out by using upgraded robot but fails to break down the electrical and impenetrable barrier and said that he’ll be back to finish the job. His dad, the mayor, declared that he was their new hero for the city, making Rodrick even more upset and decides to go on with his most powerful upgrade he ever created which his only chance to stop Edward from ruining his town. Back at their house, Stan talks to Edward and feels worried and concerned about him not knowing what problems the city has but Edward didn’t felt worried about Rodrick or his rivalry. Stan decided to be firm and can’t let Edward try to save the city; Edward kept on doubting Stan and argues with him not being the better brother that he wanted to be. Stan gets upset and storms out of their home to walk alone. Edward felt disgusted for arguing at Stan and tires to find him; meanwhile, Rodrick’s syndroid cameras follow his and Stan’s every move. One of those cameras grabbed Stan to the mayor’s (aka his dad’s) office and tries to convince him join him to wreak revenge on Edward but refuses and leaves with a camera on his shoe. Rodrick tries to think of a plan to take over the city until his brother Brandon tells him not to and he’ll tell their dad and Rodrick traps him in his homemade cell and makes sure that he won’t come out after his plan came to work. The next morning came and Edward seems miserable without Stan realizing that no matter he does something stupid he always been there for him then Melody sees him sitting on the stairs and tries to comfort him. She tells him to try to accept Stan the way he is but all of the sudden Rodrick and full powered and upgraded robot grabs both Edward and Melody to his lab. Meanwhile, Stan sees Rodney, Scott, and Elayne and talks to him and tries to cheer him up; Elayne tells Stan to knock off his sad face and buck up until he saw Rodrick kidnapping Edward and Melody. Stan and his new friends were shocked and Stan decides to come up with a plan to save them; he plans to get to his lab and find them there. A few hours later at sunset, Stan tells Scott and Rodney to distract Rodrick’s robotic guards while Elayne throws the electric grenades at them to stun then Stan uses Edward’s speed boots and ran as fast as he could to find where he put Edward and Melody. He finds them in a basement sized jail cell along with Brandon and literally uses his head to bust open the locks and warns Edward, Melody and Brandon to leave now. They all ran from the lab and try to escape that is until the robotic guards stop them from fleeing and Rodrick shows up and ask them why Edward and Stan are here in his city; he explains to them and their new friends his plan to not only take over the city but the planet as well for everyone “worshipping” Edward and being humiliated at college. Edward tells to Rodrick that destroying everything has nothing to do with him being better than Rodrick but he had enough to hear from so he told the guards to throw them all back to the cell but this time with the utmost maximum security. It was nighttime and Stan kept on going at the gate and tries hard to break it but fails and gets electrocuted; Edward has his hands on his head as he blames himself for all this to happen. Stan tells Edward that it was all his fault for being in this situation in the first place; he said that all he wanted was to be a responsible older brother for Edward but thinks he screws up with that. Edward tells to Stan that someone once told him that is what you are who you are and he learns to accept that; he felt proud of Stan and admits that he’s a great older brother and man hugged him. Melody interrupted their moment to ask how they are going to get out of this jail cell and stop Rodrick from taking over the city. Edward has his kinetic rope and ties to each robotic leg and pulls them at each other and grabs the key and unlocking the cell and freed everyone. The gang ran out from the lab and went back to Edward and Stan’s house and figured out a plan to stop Rodrick’s latest robot. Edward, Melody, and Brandon will have to make their own robot while Stan, Scott, Elayne, and Rodney distract Rodrick from harming the citizens. After 30 minutes, the robot was done and Edward was ready to stop Rodrick once and for all. Edward went to Rodrick and tells him to stop attacking the city and Rodrick charges at him to the sea as they went on struggling at each other and Edward explains why he is trying to do this. Rodrick explains to him that he wanted his dad’s spot to rule the city as mayor and he won’t let anyone not even Edward to stand on his way. Meanwhile, news all over the country heard about the battle inside the city and as Rodrick’s dad seen everything, so did Edward and Stan’s parents; their parents had no choice but go to the city and save them from getting hurt. Stan and everyone else can see the battle from the roof and he decided to back there and help Edward; so he ran as fast as he could to the bridge and help him but his parents came to the house to stop him. Their mom and dad ask where Edward is and Stan shows them that he is fight fighting with Rodrick; Stan has to try and stop him but his parents insist him to stay behind. Stan felt ashamed yet upset that he said it was his for all this to happen and wants to redeem himself as an older brother. Stan went on alone to the bridge and tries to stop Rodrick from hurting Edward but before he could get close, Edward fell to the lake as his robot tries to get back up. Stan then creates a distraction at Rodrick in order to buy Edward sometime to get up; Edward got up as he saw Rodrick knocks off Stan to a tree cold. Angered, Edward went head on to Rodrick with everything he got; Rodrick then fall down to the lake as his robot fell apart. Rodrick luckily escape his robot the second before it explodes; Stan and his parents as well as the citizens saw the explosion from the park and ran back to the lake to find Edward and saw him all right. Rodrick sees Edward and Stan alive but before he went to finish them off, his dad show up and tells Rodrick not to do this but Rodrick freeze his legs with a freeze ray; he then tell the guards to grab him and was thrown to the police car. Rodrick sworn revenge to both Edward and Stan then Stan said to get over it and he left with the police. Their mom and dad felt proud of them for saving the city but Edward had something to say to them that Stan is a great older brother and realize that Metro Hills was a nice place to live. Mom and dad decided to let Edward and Stan to stay in Metro Hills for a while just to see how responsible Stan really is. Melody and Elayne jumped in and kissed Edward and Stan on the cheek as a thanks for saving the city; Scott and Rodney made Stan their best friend. As things turned on quite well, Edward knew he had one thing left to do. The next morning had come just in time for graduation; Edward put on his robe and hat as Stan came in his room and gave a little advice and told him that he can make the future in any way he wanted and Edward thanks him for that advice. At the graduation, after the dean gave out everyone’s diplomas, Edward gives a little speech about Stan and the advice to the crowd; everyone cheered and the students throw their hats in the air. Three months had passed and Edward and Stan lived on peacefully and were invited with Mr. Gagmon and their friends to the beach. So they got ready and drove on with their friends as they end the story. While they did, back in maximum security juvenile prison, Rodrick says he will return to stop Edward and Stan but not before he get beat up by his cranky roommate. In the end, Edward says to himself that he had a great older brother that stands by his side no matter what and he holds Melody’s hand and smiled and fist pumps Stan with a smirk on his face. They drove to the almost sunset through the beach and ends a great story there.
